History

Founded in Northbrook IL by Steven Weitzman, RGC was originally named Scott-Brite Inc. In 2008 Steve has since removed himself from the business and is now available to his two sons Scott Weitzman and Ryan Weitzman on a consulting basis who in February 2009 formed RGC. However, growing industry demands and technological opportunities led RGC to sharply refocus and enlarge the scope of its services. Through the addition of excellent training, improved technology and equipment, strong leadership and a clear focus, RGC has quickly gained significant market advantages, changing the company slogan to "All you need under one roof".

Focusing on the need for 24-hour, seven-day-a-week instant response and full in-house service and expertise in all areas of construction, RGC is able to reduce excessively high replacement costs, decrease restoration time, and eliminate the unpredictably long response time associated with the disaster restoration industry. This has allowed RGC to simplify stressful disaster recovery and become an industry leader all construction services.

Today, RGC's enlarged leadership team supports the push for excellence in technology, training, service and customer satisfaction.

The in-house customization, based on RGC'S comprehensive restoration and construction knowledge, makes it possible for insurance companies, risk managers, property managers, businesses and individuals to receive immediate help.

Market

There are more disastrous situations in the Illinois area now than ever before, creating a multimillion dollar industry annually in Chicago alone. Fire disasters, whether from acts of nature, vandalism, or carelessness, have become a major source of disasters in Illinois. Water damage from rising rivers, excessive snowmelt, broken pipes and vandalism are continually on the rise. Vandalism and even run-away vehicles account for millions of dollars of damage annually. Each disaster represents calls to specialized service companies, translating into anywhere from a few hours to months of restoration work. A large number of victims lack appropriate insurance or are underinsured against devastation and as a result suffer millions of dollars of unnecessary loss each year. Many service companies still use outdated or low-tech equipment and in general no truck-mounted equipment for immediate response. As a result, other companies require labor intensive, high-cost, lengthier recovery, which is proving unacceptable to a more sophisticated market with higher expectations.

Before coming to RGC, clients discovered that lack of technical comprehension at each step of the process compounded the inefficiencies and resulting costs. The consequence of outdated business practices resulted in re-victimizing the victim. To avoid this, RGC has become the insurance contractor of choice.
